PRAYING PILGRIMS

Praying Pilgrims

Your kingdom come, your will be done.

Do you desire to be in God’s presence, experience His Holy Spirit? This is only a short conversation away, with Our Father in heaven.

“Prayer doesn’t change God, it changes me.” CS Lewis.

Sometimes we can’t find the words and all we can do is sigh in His presence (Romans 8:26-27). Other times, we sit quietly and wait for Him. At times, it is the words of the Lord’s Prayer, as we acknowledge God alone is holy.

At other times, it is the words of a Psalm that become our prayer.

Are you seeking forgiveness? (Psalm 51)

Asking for healing, mercy, relief from deep sickness. (Psalm 6)

Seeking God’s shelter. (Psalm 91)

Staying calm and taking refuge in a time of trouble. (Psalm 46)

Asking God to show unfailing love. (Psalm 86)

Looking for God’s presence. (Psalm 63)

A prayer of comfort for every season in life. (Psalm 23)

Every week in the Launde Minster Community, we have a time of prayer together. We are visiting every church in the community. Please join us on a Friday, venues and dates are published in the Worship Plan.

We are praying pilgrims on a pilgrimage (journey) and to talk with God. We meet at 11am on a Friday and at 7pm every third Friday in the month, it would be lovely if you would join us.

We have a short, very informal reflection, followed by a time of prayer. So do join us, pray a psalm, pray in silence, just sigh and God will hear!
